Blew The Head Off The Jib Mid Race...

So had a great race despite getting a big fat DNF on the results card. We were trucking along with great wind and perfect position, had made a couple of tacks and were readying about to round the first mark and BAM! The jib drops to the deck and it's beyond repair. So we limped back in from the ocean and licked our wounds at Reggae Sunday at the Conch House. Before making our way to get a drink I went to the top of the mast to get the jib sheet down and take a look at the roller furling and to my dismay noticed that we also blew the furling track rivet apart as well. Ugh....

Magz

Reminds Me of Maryland

Crab legs coming out of the top and it looks like a Raven feeding a chick in the shadow. I took this one for jibz.

Respectfully Dubbed 'The Chilidog'♦

I actually hate/love this shape depending on from which angle I see it. This is the latest project that I am working on. It should end up being a 6'5" egg but I may end up changing the nose to work a little better with the rails and sort of combat the 'chilidog' shape it has taken on. I am super happy with the rocker so far, so that is huge. Just need to put my finger on exactly how I want to tweak the silhouette to get me a little more excited about the shape.

Javier with a big smile

Ok, I couldn't stand it anymore. I had to change the shape of this one. It was driving me insane and I started to hate working on it because it just wasn't exciting me anymore. New length is 6'1" and I am already much happier with it's lines.
